Essential Oatmeal – Coarse U.K. Our coarsest grade of oatmeal – aka Pinhead. Oats, native to Central Europe are an important cereal of the temperate zones. Oatmeal is made by chopping the whole oat groat (grain) into pieces. Longer to cook, but makes full-flavoured porridge.
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: Slowly add 40g to 430ml boiling water whilst continuously stirring until the mixture thickens. Reduce heat & simmer for 20 minutes or longer to make it thicker. Porridge- soak overnight, then cook until tender.
Storage: Cool, dry & hygienic; away from direct light & strong odours. Oats will readily take on taints if not stored correctly.
